After having conquered some Acclimatization Climbs, which are part of the acclimatization process, you will be ready for high mountain climbing in Ecuador. Particularly peaks like Cotopaxi 19.347,2 ft (5897 m), Cayambe 18.991 ft (5790 m), and Chimborazo 20.664 ft (6300 m) requires careful planning, a correct period of acclimatization, and adherence to safety protocols. It is essential to acclimatize properly to the altitude (to avoid altitude sickness), carry necessary gear such as ropes, crampons, ice axes, and helmets. As mandatory, an certified high-mountain guide will accompany you, for your safety and success.

Note: For technical ascents as the Altar or Illiniza you will need a High-mountain climbing certification.
