Description of El Angel Reserve
Located 50 kilometres to the north of Ibarra, on the Colombian border, the El Angel reserve is a protected ecological reserve that remains very wild and hostile to humans. This reserve is covered up to 80 % by e “paramo”, which is an intertropical mountain ecosystem that is typical of the Andes.
The El Angel reserve is a privileged place where one can observe more than 320 bird species, many of which are endangered. Moreover, the reserve will allow you to observe the Andean condor in a very wild nature.
