Yacuma Lodge introduction
The Yacuma ecolodge, located in the Ecuadorian Amazon 2 hours from Tena and near the Napo River, is the result of a joint initiative between the Kichwa and Huaorani communities. The ecotourism lodge was created in 1997 with the aim of promoting community work and strengthening the Indians social and economic development in the region.
Built in a protected reserve, Yacuma spans over 300 hectares in the Amazon rainforest. In simple but very pleasant cabins, travellers will largely feel the Amazon rainforest ambiance (this is one of the most isolated lodges in the region, even animals flee this area due to the close human activity)
